Basic manners

Should I ever run a motorcycle parts shop, and a customer who needs a clutch cable calls and I tell them I will call them back within the hour with specific details about the cost and delivery time of such a part, I will actually do it.

Not calling back is the kind of behavior that makes me think I'm going to just call some other shop and stop dealing with the first one.

For some reason the entire powersports industry is rife with people with absolutely no concept of how to run a business. I had to fill in for a fired parts manager for about a year, and the first month was a living hell - lost orders, orders never placed, deposits never recorded, etc... and this is the norm, not the exception. I firmly believe if I ever bought a bike dealership and RAN IT RIGHT, I could be a millionaire...
