Bruce Anstey Broke the Lap Speed Record at Isle of Man TT

132.298 mph average.  If you'll forgive me for using technical jargon, that is pretty goddamned fast. And thanks to the camera aboard Bruce Anstey's bike, we can all get a little taste of what it's like to ride that fast.

The video makes me think of the old Batman TV show, where they'd speed up the film to make things look like they were really going fast.  Except this is real.

Enjoy!

Even allowing for the fact the camera adds speed to the actual run....that's damn fast. Barely had time to pick out the next curve....

I don't know how they humanly even do it....react....adjust....compensate for, etc. Friend Mark is heading over on Labor Day to visit the island. I'd go, race week or no.

Full screen and I was dizzy watching it. Those little jumps as the bike hit bumps were interesting. I don't think that kind of speed on a bike is for me.
