Lousy Psych-Out

I'm just complaining today.

Since my bicycle and favorite wrench were stolen (Give me back my wrench!), I've been a little twitchy about the garage. Right now I've got it locked down as tightly as I can get it, but I've been nervous about opening the door and finding some dude in there sitting on my Triumph and making vroom-vroom noises. Or opening the door and finding the bikes gone.

Last night we had a thunderstorm, and I had some irrational worries about whether everything was sufficiently closed up and safe from the rain. And wet thieves.

Annoying.

I hate hearing what you are going through brother. I hope you can get you stuff secured so you don't have to worry anymore.

I'll be ok. The garage is locked up tight and the motorcycles are safe and snug.

I'm kind of amused at how high my level of paranoia went, though. I gotta mellow out.

Had a socket set stolen a week and a half ago. I wasn't as attached to it as you were to your socket wrench, though. It was a clearance item that was woefully under-equipped. The thief actually did me a favor 'cuz now I get to shop for a new socket set. I'll miss a couple of those torx heads, though.

Thing is, I had two helmets and my goggles right next to the socket set, and if he'd looked around a bit, the thief would have also discovered a chainsaw and a battery charger, as well as several hundred dollars worth of gardening tools.

Noam - a chainsaw, you say? what's your address? ;)

That sucks about your socket set, though as you said, now you can get better tools. :D
