I was trying to come up with something clever to say about riding in cold weather, and then I saw that
Steve over at Scooter in the Sticks had beat me to the punch. I'm going to try out his tip about warming one's hands on the headlight tomorrow morning....

I've never tried the headlight trick, but putting your hands into the flow of hot exhaust works great. Just not too long as it gets hot quick.
also good when you scrap your car windshield without gloves, use the exhaust. Oh, forgot . . . you don't get frost where you are, but will come in handy in Astoria, someday (any news?)
Happy New Year to you and Lady Luck

Thanks for the link to Scooter in the Sticks.
The headlight trick works well on the Vespa where it is easily accessible. Not so well on bikes where the headlights are hidden away under so much fairing.
Heated my hands many times today while riding. Will lead to another post tomorrow about suffering...

I use the motor. I also have many burn scars, so the headlight might be a better idea.
