In other news, we just got the car out of the shop on Tuesday after having a bunch of transmission seals replaced, and now the A/C compressor crapped out. Yay for everything breaking at once!
In other other news, the Mesa Arts Center is having a blacksmithing forge building workshop in the next couple of weeks. You KNOW I'm all up on that scene. Once I've got that sucker, I'll just need to find a section of railroad track to use as an anvil and I'll be able to do some more smithin' this fall.
And that's about it. I've got to get back to novel revision...

I know some people who've had good results using a homemade anvil made from a cast-iron dumbbell, with one end sunk into a bucketful of cement...
I could so get into having my own forge. Especially if it's cheap. :)
Let us know how it works out.
As we are headed to fall and you won't need A/C for a while, unplug the connector at the clutch on the A/C compressor. You can drive it without causing any damage while you save up the money to have the A/C repaired.

Der_General - Hmm... I could see that working pretty well.
Canajun - I certainly will
Allen - It's going to be hot here in the desert for another month or two. Believe me, A/C is absolutely required for the time being. If we lived somewhere more reasonable, that would be great advice, though. Thanks!
