Oh This Burning Beard

On Saturday I went to the barber. I got my hair cut short because it's too hot here to tolerate excess insulation on my noggin.

Unfortunately, the barber misunderstood my instructions concerning beard length. He removed almost all of my beard and I feel kind of like a scruffy homeless guy.

That's bad enough, but this morning I discovered he'd cut my beard short enough that it gets caught in my helmet lining and chin strap, which itches like crazy.

I was awfully happy to get my helmet off today. Now I remember why I quit shaving...

I can relate... Just keep reminding yourself it will grow back.

Oh, man! I really feel for you! The one and only time I let my former stylist trim my beard my younger daughter cried when I got home and asked me to promise never to let him touch it again. It was a promise I was as eager to keep as to make. Here's hoping your discomfort will be gone post haste!

The only thing worse than this story is when I screw up trimming my own beard. Then I don't have anyone to be mad at.

mq01 - It's all part of the adventure...

Canajun - I've been willing it to grow faster. So far, so good!

Joe - Yeah, I'm not letting the barber touch my beard again. Live and learn!

AZ Harley Dude - Yep, I've done that too. The best was when I screwed my beard up so badly I just shaved the whole thing off and started over.

Baron - Sneetches? Like with stars on their bellies? I don't remember anything about shaved Sneetches, though from what I recall, those crazy critters did get pretty out of control before they realized it didn't matter if a Sneetch had a star or not.

Two things.

One, I can relate. I grow a beard once in a while.

Secondly, you must post a photo to delight and amaze us. Ok, so I poured that on a little heavy. Still, though.
