You mean you actually shop at brick & mortar stores and not online??? Let me see...rush around in the cold, dealing with idiots who don't have a clue how to drive, push & shove through crowds in the stores, rummage through racks to find that the size/color/or whatever other specs you are looking for aren't there, stand in long lines at the cashier...OR...point, click, and wait for the UPS truck to pull up in front of your house (it's like getting a present yourself every time a delivery comes)! Hmmmm...no contest

Which reminds me of another great thing about riding to the store - intimidating non-biker xmas shoppers. Walking around in my riding gear makes the throngs of last minute shoppers part for me like the Red Sea.
If you have to shop the mall, take a lesson from the SEALs and Marines. Plan your attack, go in under the cover of darkness, acquire your target, make your strike, and get out. Leave no living witnesses. Ok, forget that last one. :) "Assault shopping" is what one friend called it.
I like getting things delivered as well as the next rider, but I hate having to be pinned down. Seems my stuff always has to be signed for. Then I hafta be around.
As for parking close, sorry. I park far away and walk. One, I need to exercise. Two, people can't seem to keep their damn hands ( and kids ) off the bike. Being close to the door makes it too convenient.
Last I heard, breaking somebody's arm in public is still frowned upon. I do love the way people look afraid when they see the gear, though!
You wanna see people afraid of the gear? Walk through a JoAnn's Fabric store with boots on & a helmet in your hands!!! (OMG, I was DYING at some of the looks I got that day!!)
I actually shop at brick & mortar shops too. It's a little different being in Canada. UPS is a problem (overcharging for brokerage), and also the Gov't have their hands out collecting duty, taxes, GST (value added tax), as most on-line stores are based in the USA, not to mention our week .75c dollar. PLUS, we also don't always get transferrable warranty if purchased outside of the country. And also walking around in riding gear isn't always COOL. I stopped at my bank lately but thought it wise to remove my Helmet . . .
