Go and vote today. I don't care who you vote for. You can write in Dr. Steel if you like. But go do it.
There are two reasons for this. One is to show that we, the American people, still give a shit about what our government does.
The other reason is that if you don't vote, you can't complain. If your candidate wins, you'll later be able to say "I didn't elect him to do THIS." If your candidate loses, you can say "Hey, I didn't vote for him."
But if you don't vote at all, you best just shut the hell up, lest I rend unto thee with with Mr. Fist.
That is all.

I rode to work today and plan to vote after work. So I will be riding to the polls.
I wore my riding gear while voting this morning.
I Voted Early This Morning - Did You Vote?
Thanks for this post. You hit the nail right on the head. In my county we have gone to all mail-in votes with no polling places. So I voted last week. For once there will be something worth watching tonight on TV. It will be very exciting waiting for the results to come in.... I am guessing it will be a landslide one way or another. The polls haven't counted the cell-phone users, which probably account for over half of this year's voters.

I disagree.
If you know nothing about the canidates.
If you're completely uninformed about the issues, the points of view, etc.
If you have no real knowlege of what you're voting for...
DONT VOTE!
If you only vote "for this party" or for who you saw on TV, you're hurting the system more then your helping.
(oh... and still dont bitch, because you wernt paying attention anyway)
Rode my scoot to the polling place, then to work. I live in Minneapolis, so that's probably the last time I'll get to commute on the scoot this year.
